We're having a little baby.....

BOY!!!!! We went to the doctor yesterday and they told us it's a little baby boy. We are so excited! We would have been happy either way but it's good to finally know so we can go shopping! The little guy is growing so well and everything looks great! We didn't get "the picture" to share with everyone, you'll just have to trust us. We are slowing making things even with the grandkids on both sides of the family. Once our little guy is here there will be 4 girls and 2 boys on my side and 6 girls and 4 boys on Tyson's. Not quite even yet but we're getting close. We are so excited to see our little guy, only 20 more weeks!

Baby crib and such

My mom gave us our Christmas present a couple months early and it was just what we asked for. We wanted a new crib for our baby and mom found a great deal on a 3 piece set which included a crib, a changing table and a four drawer dresser. She dropped it off last Saturday and we started putting it together. It started out pretty simple with the crib and changing table but then I tried to put the dresser together by myself and I struggled. It was a lot harder then I had hoped but I accomplished it after about 4 hours.

We didn't realize what we were in for until after unloading all of the contents of the box, our whole living room was covered in pieces.

We got the crib done first. Now we just have to find a mattress.
The changing table was pretty easy as well.
Here is the dresser that took me forever.

Here's a couple pictures of my little baby bump. I'm just over 15 weeks here and finally showing.

We're Having A Baby!!!

Just to fill everyone in that doesn't already know, we are having a baby! We are both very excited! We are due April 26th and can hardly wait for the next 6 1/2 months to go by. We are so happy to have a spring baby just in time for summer and right after Tyson finishes school here at BYUI. We can't wait until our little one is here.

The finished project

Sorry that it took so long to post the final pics of our new fireplace, but here they are! I think Tyson did a wonderful job, I wish that I could take some credit but I can't. These pictures are before we put the stove back but you get the idea.

DESTRUCTION!!!!

Tyson and I decided that the stone behind our pellet stove really dated our little trailer. We both thought it would be best to replace it with some nice looking tile. Fortunately for us Tyson has a little knowledge on this subject and we decided now would be the best time to do it since Tyson is out of school.

Here's the before picture: Tyson was a pro from the start:Look at him go:Getting all the mortar: He's so good he can get two at once:
I thought that I should at least take a whack at it: I was a little unsure of what I was suppose to do: Trying to find the right spot:
The whole wall was moving at this point:
In the end I got the hang of it:
The after pictures are to come.....hopefully anyway.

Baby Tyson

So Tyson's brother Jason has been scanning a bunch of negatives into his computer and was kind enough to share these pictures of Tyson with us. I thought they were so cute and needed to be shared with all.

Baby Blankets

I just have to clarify right off the bat before anyone jumps to any conclusions, this is not an announcement. I'm just very proud of these two projects I've completed. I know it's kind of weird to make baby blankets when you aren't expecting but every time I went into Porter's I would look at this really cute blanket and contemplate buying it. After months of looking and wanting I decided to just get it and I'm very glad I did. These turned out so cute!!!

This is the original pattern. Now you can see why I couldn't pass it up.

Just a close up of the adorable flowers!

Once I got the little girl blanket done I thought "Well what if we have a boy first" so this is my little boy version.

I adjusted the pattern by making the flowers into little fish, because if our little boy is anything like Tyson he'll be fishing from day one.

They turned out really cute and I am so proud that they turned out so well.
