Random

So Tyson had the camera with him at school for the last little while and I just got it back. So I have a few random pics to post. They don't really have much to do with each other but Jason wanted a new post so here goes....

So Nov. 8 was my wards Super Saturday and we had a craft day. Mom and Makell came with me and we had a great time. These are the crafts that I did...with lots and lots of help from my mom and Makell. Basically they did the whole snowman for me, that turkey took forever.

This one was the easiest: just paint, sand and stick on the stickers.

Again mom and Makell did the snowman, the turkey was really hard but totally worth it.

These next two pics show what Tyson and I are usually doing on a Sunday afternoon.

Tyson is usually studying really hard. I really am proud of Him. He has a very hard semester but he is doing so well and even when things seem tough and never ending he sticks it out. I love him with all of my heart and really appericiate all of his hard work with school.

This is a common activity for me because Tyson and I usually crave sweets on Sunday. This particular day was the day before Makell's b-day. Makell requested sugar cookies with the number 16 on them. So I baked and decorated all day on Sunday. I ended up with about 5 dozen cookies, half pink with green writing and half green with pink writing. And in explantion of the pop can rolling pin....I don't have a real one. During Barbara's move mom offered to save me her rolling pin but I said "No, I don't really make anything that I would need a rolling pin for." Well Makell's birthday proved me wrong. Needless to say the pop can worked great!

The final product after hours of fun!

This is a very random, awful picture of me at my mom's house during her birthday party. I was playing the piano and Tyson surprised me with the camera.

Josh tells me that I am now truly trailer trash because the washer and dryer I have are worth more than my "house". I bet the value is actually pretty close and since the washer and dryer are almost 6 months old I would guess that they have depreciated almost enough that our "house" might be worth more. Brendie's great aunt Barbara sold her house and moved to Idaho falls and she asked us if we could use her washer and dryer. We said that would be wonderful cause the old washer leaked and the dryer was melting brendie's stuff. We are so thankful that Barbara decided to let us have the washer and dryer. It was no easy task to move the washer and dryer down the hall way of our tiny little house but Josh was the mastermind behind the move so it all worked out. As you can see the washer and dryer dont really fit the rest of the house(it looks like I stole them from some rich people), in fact they dont really even fit in the space we have but they are hooked up and they work. Thanks again Barbara!

Emergency Surgery

So most of you have already heard that we had a interesting weekend. It all started when Tyson started filling sick to his stomach Thursday night about 9:30. He decided to just go to sleep and hope that it would go away and that he'd fill better in the morning. Little did we know what was about to happen. Tyson was up most of the night because he as unable to sleep due to the pain he was feeling. During the night the pain in his stomach started to settle in his lower right side. At 4:00 in the morning he woke me and we thought we should take off to hospital. Not sure really what to do we called Tyson's brother Jason and we were advised to go to the emergency room.
Once in the E.R. they ran blood tests and took x-rays, as well as answered a very lengthy list of questions over and over again. The doctor finally showed up at 6:00 and said that it was probably appendicitis. They moved Tyson upstairs and we waited for the surgeon to get in because we needed him to okay it.
At about 8:00 Dr. Christensen came in and went over the list of questions again and said it was definitely appendicitis. Dr. Christensen had one surgery to do first and then he was going to take Tyson it as soon as possible.
They took Tyson into surgery around 9:00 and he was in surgery for about an hour. Everything went well and Tyson is healing nicely. They had him spend the night and we were able come home at about 11:00 Saturday morning.

Tyson in his hospital bed. The drugs made him quite loopy and completely out of it. He slept most of the day Friday.

We decided to do the laparoscopic appendectomy so Tyson has three little incisions instead of one large one. This way is suppose to have less scaring and heal faster.

During the surgery we had them take pictures for our two medical student brothers to see. In the first picture you can see the appendix, it's the long purple thing. Usually appendix are small, about the size of a earth worm, and really pink; Tyson's was as big around as a finger and had started to turn purple. In the second picture you can see the gal bladder and the liver. I'm not quite sure what the third picture is. The forth one is of the large intestine after the appendix was removed.

We'd like to say thanks to everyone that helped us out this weekend. We really appriciate the thoughts and phone calls. We love you all!!!

Back to School

Everyone else did thier back to school blog and so I thought that I would post a picture of Tyson on his first day of school for this year.

You can see in this pic that Tyson has quite a large load of books to carry with him to class each day. Too much weight if you ask me...this is going to cause some problems with school due to our most recent experience this weekend.

ZOOM!!!!

Tyson and I decided to have the Zoom Whitening done, especially when we found out that we get free dental becuase I work in a dental office. Nice benifits if you ask me. It was $700 worth of dental for free.
Here's just a few pics. Tyson before with his starting shade.

Tyson during the process...3, 15minute cycles. By the third cycle you really want to just cry. It gets pretty hot and your teeth start to ache unless your like Tyson. He was having electric like jolts shocking through his teeth.

Tyson after with his starting shade. He lighten up three shades. Now his teeth almost glow in the dark there are so white!

This is me before with my starting shade.

This is me during the very last of the three cycles. My teeth didn't really start hurting until like the 5 minutes of this cycle. I had to just grin and bare it.

This is me after with the shade I started out as. I lightened up four shades and now Tyson and I are the same shade.

It was a unusual experience for the two of us and I can't say that I would do it again. Tyson and I spent the remainder of the day cringing with little electric jolts and super hypersensitivity. But I as happy with the results

Our Frist Anniversary!!!

Tomorrow is our one year anniversary but we celebrated by going up to Mont's Cabin and had a weekend getaway. We leave Friday after we both got off work.
Friday night we started a campfire because Tyson was craving a little outdoor time. I was freezing but soon was so warm from the fire that Tyson created that I thought my eyebrows were burning off.
Saturday morning Mont drove up and took us to his fishing spot for a little early morning fishing trip. He was going to be there about 6:00 which meant we had to be awake at 5:30 to make sure we were ready for him. I was pretty sleepy but also very excited for my first real fishing trip.

This is me reeling in my first fish which was also the first fish of the day. It ended up being the biggest fish off the day too. It was just a over 5lbs. Tyson caught one almost as big but mine was just a few ounces bigger. We caught a total of 11 fish in just over 3 hours. We were only able to keep two a peice though.

Tyson and I freezing on the boat. It actually starting to snow just as we caught our last fish. We hurried off the lake at fast as we could.
Me and the two fish I caught.

This is Tyson with some fish....he didn't really catch all of them though.

This is me with all of the fish we caught.

Both of us with the fish.

Mont weighing the fish to see who's fish really was the biggest. I totally won!!! (ok only by a few ounces but still I won)
Tyson and Mont gutting the fish. It was pretty gross to watch and if you look close you can see Mont throwing the guts. Eww!!!

Tyson the filleting the fish.

Saturday night we went to West Yellowstone. We ate dinner, had an old fashion western picture taken and went to the playmill.

Tyson fell asleep while waiting for me to get ready.

Tyson and I eating at the Gusher, a little pizza place. It was yummy!

This is us outside of the Playmill. We went to a play called See How They Run. It was hilarious. It was all about a ton of misunderstanding and everyone was trying to figure out the truth but it just made it worse. It was so funny. We really enjoyed it. They even sang us a little song for our anniversary.

Graduation

The most recent interesting event in our live was my graduation. It's really nice to be done with school and to start a career rather than nights as a server.

This is me and my class walking into the auditorium. The program was really boring and way to long, but we all had to sit through it.

Tyson and I being oh so cute after I walked. He was very supportive throughout my schooling and was always there for me. I'm very grateful to him.

Hello Friends!!

So my brother finally talked me into starting one of these, so that it can be easier for him to know what's going on in my life. Unfortunately, there isn't much in my life that is too exciting.

A quick update: My husband and I have been married for a year on June 9th. It's been a very great year and neither of us can believe that it went by so quickly. Tyson is a Chemistry major at BYU-I and hopes to make it into dental school in the next couple years (I know he'll be able to do it). I just graduated from EITC in Dental Assisting and I am in the middle of my lovely intership working 250 hours for free. It's great fun....the assisting part not the no money part. Since I am not making money Tyson is also working while doing school. He lays flooring with his brother for his parents company.

That's basically our live in a nutshell. It's a little crazy but we enjoy it.
